Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 23, 2026

Americas Flying Clubs ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using AmericasFlyingClubs.com, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, including:

  • Name, email address, and password when you create an account
  • Flying club name, location, aircraft details, and dues structure when you list a club
  • Messages sent through our contact forms or member inquiry system
  • Profile information such as pilot certificates held and home airport

We also collect information automatically when you visit the site, including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring URLs. We use standard analytics tools for this purpose.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate and improve the Americas Flying Clubs platform
  • Display your club listing to pilots searching our directory
  • Send transactional emails (account confirmations, password resets)
  • Send occasional platform updates and community newsletters, which you may opt out of at any time
  • Respond to your questions and support requests
  • Monitor for abuse or policy violations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for targeted advertising.

3. Club Listings and Public Information

When you list a flying club, certain information becomes publicly visible in our directory — including the club name, home airport, aircraft types, general dues range, and contact method. We do not publish individual member names, home addresses, or personal phone numbers without your explicit consent.

If you submit photos or testimonials to the platform, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display them on AmericasFlyingClubs.com and associated marketing materials.

4. Data Security

We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), hashed password storage, and access controls limiting who on our team can view personal data. No system is 100% secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

5. Your Rights and Choices

  • Access and correction: You may view and update your account information at any time from your account settings.
  • Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us. Club listings you have submitted will be removed within 30 days.
  • Email opt-out: Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Transactional emails (account-related) cannot be opted out of while you maintain an active account.
  • California residents: California law may provide additional rights. Contact us to exercise them.

6. Third-Party Services

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate the platform, including hosting, email delivery, and analytics. These providers are contractually bound to use your information only as directed by us. Links to third-party sites are not covered by this policy.

7. Children's Privacy

Americas Flying Clubs is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email and will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
